Garment Care

Our pieces are made to be worn often and kept for years. A little care makes the difference.

General principles

  • Wash less often — airing between wears keeps colour and shape.
  • Cool wash (30°C or below), inside out, on a delicate cycle.
  • Line dry in the shade. Tumble drying shortens the life of the fabric.
  • Iron inside out on a low setting. Steaming is gentler than pressing.

By fabric

Cotton and cotton blends

Cool machine wash. Line dry. Iron warm.

Silk and satin

Hand wash cold with a silk-safe detergent, or dry clean. Never wring — roll in a towel to press out water. Iron on the reverse at the lowest setting.

Polyester and blends

Cool machine wash on a delicate cycle. Line dry. Do not tumble dry on high heat — polyester fibres soften and pill under sustained heat.

Chiffon and mesh

Hand wash cold, or use a mesh laundry bag. Do not wring. Line dry flat, away from direct sun.

Storage

  • Hang structured pieces (dresses with defined shoulders, coats) on padded hangers.
  • Fold heavier knits and pleated pieces — hanging distorts them over time.
  • Keep in a cool, dry, ventilated space away from direct sunlight.

Stains

Attend to spills as soon as you can. Blot — don’t rub — with a clean, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, take the piece to a professional cleaner rather than attempting to treat it yourself.
